Sunrise Beach & Park Waterfront Master Plan
Sunrise Park, one of Lake Bluff’s most used and loved park was in need of an updated Master Pan to guide the site towards an accessible and sustainable future that respected the history and natural elements of the park. Upland Design guided the Park District through a public input process to create a master site plan that met these goals.
The design team worked with the community and the advisory council to create three concepts that were narrowed down into one Master Plan and design guidelines booklet.
The Site Program includes:
- New stone groin and Island Stone Breakwater
- Additional site amenities
- Fenced dog beach with dog shower
- Beach Access stairs and overlook seating
- New restrooms and shelter
- Sand Volleyball
- Nature Playground
- Swim Platform
- Lookout Point and Fishing Access
