Wynwood Park Playground

Working closely with Winfield staff, Upland Design prepared a master plan for Wynwood Park. As the home of multiple baseball diamonds this site receives visitors from a wide area for tournaments as well as from the neighborhood. To meet community needs, the parking lot, sport courts and playground were transformed with this project

The park renovation included a new playground with a challenging new net climber that compliments swings, slides and climbers. The playground surface includes both fiber surfacing and rubber surfacing. To add more activities for visitors and day camp users, a fun splash pad area with elements for toddlers and older kids was incorporated. The new system includes an electronic control system with timer and new water meter. Splash pad water drains to the nearby rain garden area.
