Wheeling Town Center is a transit- oriented mixed-use development featuring 100,000 square feet of retail and 301 residential apartments units. The new development is located between the Wheeling Metra Station, Park District recreation spaces and the Village Hall. With a new cinema and restaurants currently underway, it is going to be a great destination for fun and entertainment. Upland Design has been working with the developer and CallisonRTLK for the past four years creating outdoor public spaces as well as a private outdoor courtyard for the apartment building. With stone walls, shade shelters, artificial turf and detailed paving designs, it has been both fun and rewarding to work on.
